With the incorporation of the 21st Century Insurance business, Farmers Group, Inc. will be positioned as the 3rd largest personal lines insurer in the United States.

Zurich Marine has announced that they have decided to exit the Yacht insurance market. Zurich has indicated that they will no longer accept new yacht business beginning May 1, 2009 and they will begin to non-rew policies August 1, 2009, citing unacceptable underwiting results as a contributing factor.
